Working with us.

Hiring a team in another country is a trust decision before it is a technical one. These are the questions people ask before the first call: what you sign, how you pay, and what you own if you walk away.

For how the work itself runs, see our approach.

01

What do we sign before work starts?

A short written proposal, then a contract. The proposal sets out the scope, the things deliberately left out of it, the releases, the timeline and the price, in plain language. Nothing is billed until you have agreed to it in writing. The contract is with BrainTriangle (OPC) Private Limited, a registered Indian company (CIN U62011GJ2026OPC182452), and is governed by Indian law by default. If your business needs to use its own agreement, send it over and we will review it rather than insist on ours.

02

How are payments structured?

By milestone. A project is split into releases, and each release has a fixed price agreed up front. We ask for no more than 30% before work starts, and the rest is due as each release is delivered and you have seen it working. You never pay for the whole project in advance, and you are never more than one release of work ahead of what you have seen. Ongoing work after launch is billed monthly.

03

What currency do you invoice in, and how do I pay?

We invoice in INR for clients in India and in USD for clients abroad. Work for clients outside India is billed as an export of services under a GST Letter of Undertaking (LUT), so no Indian GST is added to those invoices. Overseas clients pay by international bank transfer (SWIFT); clients in India pay by bank transfer. Every invoice is a proper tax invoice from a registered company.

04

Who owns the code?

You do. Ownership of everything we write for you passes to you as each release is paid for, and the contract says so. The repository, hosting, domain and third-party accounts are opened in your name from the start, with us added as a user — not the other way round. Open-source libraries the software uses keep their own licences, which allow commercial use. There is no licence fee to keep using what we built.

05

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, before you tell us anything sensitive. Send us yours, or ask for ours. Either way, we do not name a client, show their work or describe their business publicly without their written permission. If the work involves personal data of your customers, we will also sign a data processing agreement, which UK and EU clients usually need under GDPR.

06

Who will I actually talk to?

The person who builds it. There is no account manager in between and no handover to a junior team. You get a short written update every week, a working demo at each release, and a shared chat for questions in between. We overlap with US and UK working hours and reply within two working days, usually the same day.

07

What if the scope changes halfway through?

It usually does, and that is fine. Before any new work starts, we send a short written change note: what is being added or dropped, and what that does to the price and the timeline. Nothing outside the agreed scope is billed unless you have approved a change note for it.

08

What happens when something breaks after launch?

Bugs in what we built are fixed at no charge for 30 days after each release goes live. After that, you can keep us on a monthly arrangement for fixes and changes, pay for work as it comes up, or take the software in-house.

09

What if we want to stop working together?

You can, at any milestone. You pay for the releases delivered so far, and we hand over everything: the code, documentation of how it is set up and deployed, and every login. We then remove our own access. Because the accounts were in your name from the first day, there is nothing to untangle.

Want any of this in writing first?

Ask for our NDA or a sample contract and we will send it before the first call. You are dealing with BrainTriangle (OPC) Private Limited, CIN U62011GJ2026OPC182452, registered in Surat, India.
